It was a hot 22nd day of October 2016 when my ex-boyfriend (now fiancé) proposed to me. Since we're both busy during the weekdays, we just planned that we'd have some quality time and Saturdays are our time to bond together.
The night before our date, I confirmed to him that we'll just go to Trinoma. He said yes. Next morning, he came to our house all dressed up in pants, polo and his favorite rubber shoes. I rarely see him wear pants especially on a hot day, so I asked him "anong meron at naka-pantalon ka?" He just said, "e sa MoA tayo pupunta ngayon". I got confused and told him that we're going in Trinoma, he just kept insisting on going to MoA instead. I didn't asked any more questions and just agreed that we'll go there.
While we were eating, it is common for us to have a conversation. But this day, he'd just have a short answer, comment or laugh to what ever I was saying. I though maybe he's just tired and he hasn't slept well. He was always looking at his watch for the time and kept on reminding me that we have to be there at 10am. I was asking why and we didn't have any other plans so what's the rush? He just said, "I wanted to be there early so we can enjoy the mall with fewer people". What's funny was he also finished my breakfast so we can go to the mall. 😂
When we reached the mall, he wanted to go to the bay side. I protested because it was really hot and there was nothing to see since the stalls are closed yet (they open late because people go to the bay area in the afternoon to watch the sunset). He insisted on going there and we'll just sit and chill. My thoughts were, "yea right, chill under the burning heat of the 11am sun?!"
Here's our youtube video of his surprise. 😊

Happiness cannot be explained into words. I'm happy to celebrate this milestone with JR. I can finally say that I will be growing old with someone who loves me with all my craziness. 😁 The road will not be always smooth, we really have to go through some bumps in our lives. But having that person who will be with you as you grow old would make that road more exciting.
Why did he proposed in MoA? Well, we used to work for SM Investments Corporation (SMIC) and SM Retail, we met in one of the departments in SMIC and that's how it started. We'd always go to the bay area for lunch or after work. It has a huge part in our relationship because it was where we'd have a nice and relaxed conversation about anything or that would be the place where I would go whenever I feel mad at him. LOL!
