My first encounter with coffee was when I was a kid. I would be hypnotized by my mom's hot cup of coffee because of its aroma. The smell is really good, but when I tasted it.. It was not what I expected it to be. That cup of coffee was bitter. From that day on, I never wanted to taste another cup of coffee. Even when the boom of the coffee shops happened, I never bought a single cup of coffee (be it ice blended or what).
Now, I still don't drink coffee, though I eat a coffee-flavored ice cream or candy. Hehe! Still, I am still scared to try once more that bitter drink that everyone in my family is enjoying.
Until the day that I decided to study the business side of how to run a coffee shop or café. You see, we are planning to expand our market of just selling pastries online to having an actual shop where people can eat and just chill for a moment. A lot of our clients are already asking of where can we visit our shop so they could see our cakes and get to taste them.

So, I searched for an institution where can I learn those and I found one. Its the Barista and Coffee Academy of Asia (BCAA). They have a lot of courses to offer so you better check out their website. :)
Anyway, the classes I took had only a handful of students, which for me is a good thing because we got to have an extensive interaction with the facilities and the instructor had addressed our questions very well. It was really fun especially when we got the chance to make our own drinks. Well, being in a coffee school, my instructors had me drink different kinds of coffee and as a newbie in the coffee world, I was like a minion.. all hyped and full of energy. I was even palpitating that time. haha! :) They told me that I'd get used to it though.
The gallery below are the photos I took in my class. One of my favorite was when my instructor made a 3d bear design on top of coffee. :)
My overall experience with my classes were really fun and learning. There are a
lot of things I learned and would help us in opening our coffee shop or café. The people there are all approachable and friendly as well.
