Last week, JR and I went on an unexpected date. We were supposed to go to an event, however, because of the bad traffic (yes, even on weekends), we didn't made it there.
I was really feeling dizzy at the bus because it was almost a 2-hour travel (our event was not even in the province!). Can you just imagine the boredom and I think the seat was about to eat me and I'm really feeling uncomfortable already. So JR decided that we alight the bus and just spend our day in Makati. Woooh! the traffic just really is hellish! 😡

Anyway, so we went to Makati and just enjoyed the weekend. We had a super late lunch at John and Yoko. The food was delicious, but not all. I wanted to order the baked spicy tuna dish but unfortunately its not available; so i opted for the Katsudon instead. My dish was nothing special if compared to other Japanese resto's Katsudon dish (so i didn't took a pic of it). JR's ramen (forgot the name, sarreeeeh!) however is delicious. We also ordered the John and Yoko rolls.
You know the feeling that what you see on the menu is just the same to the other resto's dish, but what set this "usual" California Maki rolls was the sauce in the middle of the plate. So when you dip it there plus a bit of soy sauce, the taste would feel so right, there's just the right amount of sweetness of the sauce and the saltiness of the soy sauce plus the taste of the roll itself. I'd go back there to try the baked spicy tuna cause it really intrigues me (i love spicy tuna BTW so you know why I'd go back).

After eating, we decided to roam around and just enjoy the time we have together. We went to Bratpack cause we both love bags, and the one in Greenbelt 5 has a wide selection of stuff aside from bags. So I was at the Herschel aisle and a saleslady approached us that we can have the bags customized by their artist for that day. Knowing that there's just two color option of the bag I wanted, I though why not have it customized instead. Deciding for the design was not hard though, I immediately though of my dog #GabbyTheChi.
So I told the artist what I wanted in the bag and she made it :) She told us to just go back after an hour because there were other bags in line for her to paint on. To kill time, we went to Fully Booked; if you frequent that place, you know that its also spacious and there are sitting areas if you wanted to read. After an hour, we went there and the bag is already done. Too bad we weren't able to thank the artist personally.
I'm really happy with this bag! Now I can bring along #GabbyTheChi wherever I go. Thank you also to JR for giving me this bag, I know my birthday is still on August. Hehe! I won't use this yet until I celebrate my birthday.
